What happens when you put 20 uber talented techies at The June for two nights? A lot of Instagramming.... and Camp Nudge, a two-day corporate retreat for the team at Nudge Rewards. Nudge is a start-up that delivers mobile solutions designed to engage front-line managers and employees to improve team performance and profitability. Let’s just say this team knows a thing or two about creating amazing culture. Together with The June, we threw one epic experience.
WEDNESDAY
3PM
CHECK-IN @ THE JUNE

4PM
MINUTE TO WIN IT
It’s actually pretty simple - you’ve got one minute to win it!

6:30PM
SUNSET PICNIC
A harvest table for 20 was set-up in our Bohemian Forest behind the motel, and dinner was catered by County Yum Club. The menu a mix of shawarma platters, roasted potatoes, chickpeas, hummus, garlic spread and fresh pitas.

8PM
CAMPFIRE
In their Camp Nudge crewnecks, the team gathered around for some laughs and stories…over wine and craft beer of course.

THURSDAY
8:00AM
FRESH PRESSED JUICE
At The June we have a mantra - detox before we retox. The team enjoyed freshly pressed juices from Small Town Juicery.
8:30AM
NAMASTE ALL DAY
The team gathered up at the Pavillion at Lake on the Mountain to practice gratitude and movement with a gentle flow class. Lake on the Mountain is really just that – a lake on top of a mountain – and it’s known to be a very sacred spot in The County, so the prefect setting for the team’s morning practice.

10AM
WORK WORK WORK
It can’t be all fun and games. The team came together in the lobby bar for some team meetings and presentations.
11:30AM
WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND
Now the fun begins! We rented a yellow school bus to take the team around to all our favourite wineries and breweries for the afternoon. It was less than 5 minutes aboard the bus when the singalong began.

12PM
LUNCH & TASTING AT NORMAN HARDIE
We’ve said it many times before. A trip to The County is not complete without a glass of Norman Hardie wine and his famous pizza from the woodfire pizza oven. Read our latest review of Norman Hardie.

2:00PM
HINTERLAND & COUNTY ROAD BEER
Cherry Gose for the win. Check out our recent post on Hinterland.

4:00PM
FLIGHTS @ PRINCE EDDY’S
Palms and surfer vibes. This place is definitely June approved. We sampled their full portfolio of beers, including a blueberry wheat beer that was just bottled.

6:00PM
FOOD TRUCK @ THE JUNE
Mike’s BBQ rolled-up to The June to feed this crew. The menu: cornbread and ribs.

8:00PM
CAMPIRE & S’MORES
Fireside chats and s’mores were on tap for the evening ahead.

10PM
KARAOKE
Nothing says team bonding like crowding into a motel room to sing karaoke. Let’s just say that’s how the night ended.
FRIDAY
11AM

That’s a wrap folks.
