WHAT'S NEW IN PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY FOR 2019

Whether it’s your first time to The County or you’ve already fallen in love and are ready to come back for more, there are plenty of new things to see and do this season!

The Vic Café (2.0) - One of our favourite brunch spots now has a new home! Still on Main St. in Picton, they have been hard at work this winter bringing their new, colourful space to life. With funky new décor, great vibes, and a healthy(-ish) menu that is sure to please the whole gang, we definitely recommend making them a part of your visit. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If taco Tuesday is your favourite day of the week, you are in luck! La Condesa is Wellington’s newest destination for guacamole to ceviche, and everything in between. With colourful décor and authentic Mexican cuisine it's the perfect place to get your fiesta on, any day of the week.

Formerly the Executive Chef at Waupoos, Guerin Sykes has just opened his own venue - The Marans Dinebar on Picton’s Main St. Boasting a menu of globally inspired County cuisine they’re a must visit. Plus it's Countylicious, so it's the perfect time to visit and try their set menu at a great price!

Stella's Eatery, another new neighbor on Main St, is a cozy new dine-in only hot spot for comfort food and cocktails. Their menu “is subject to the availability of local, fresh, foraged, seasonal ingredients." They essentially serve whatever chef Leah Marshall Hannon feels like cooking! If the paté platter is available, this is a must order if you ask us Moteliers at The June! Swing by for a truly local dining experience and great company, but show up early because this first-come first-served space is sure to fill up fast.

A Picton staple, Parsons Brewing Company is making some big changes. Renovations include a bigger bottle shop, more seats, brew tours, and a new head chef. They will also be revamping their menu to add some South American influences, of course maintaining a focus on local ingredients. Make sure to check them out on your tour of The County.

Our friends at County Yum Club are moving to Picton Main St! Hot dishes, grab & go, preserves and local ice cream make it the perfect stop on your day out on the town. They are embracing a soft launch in early April, but stay tuned for the Grand Opening later this spring. Fun fact: they will be contributing to our breakfast menu this year, so make sure to swing by the Lobby Bar or text us for breakfast in bed during your stay for a taste!

County natives Outlet Food Co. are getting a storefront in Bloomfield this spring! They are planning to open in May, giving their diverse menu a home in between pop-ups and appearances around The County. You can also catch them at the Wellington Farmers Market and other spots around the region.

Escape Macaulay House - Macaulay Heritage Park opened an Escape Room, making use of the summer kitchen and handyman’s quarters. Escape Macaulay House gives visitors up to an hour to solve puzzles and riddles to help a servant, “Jane,” find treasures that will make up for missed pay cheques. This experience is based on true events and in keeping with the Victorian times, no phones or cameras are allowed!
