School’s out for summer, so it's time to pack-up the kids and head to The June! We have the ultimate family-friendly itinerary for your weekday stay, filled with afternoons at the beach, ice cream runs and campfires with s'mores at The June (plus plenty of wine for the adults). MONDAY

 

4PM

CHECK-IN AT THE JUNE

 

Take advantage of the weekday getaway - while everyone else heads into work, wake up slow and make your way to The County on your own time. Beat the heat on your way with a stop in Picton at Slickers for an ice cream treat before check-in (we recommend the campfire ice cream).

DINNER

 

Once you’re settled in, head up the road to Picton’s Main Street. and take the whole gang to dinner at the new Vic Café. Family friendly, colourful and healthy, you're sure to find something on the menu for everyone.

MOVIE MONDAYS

 

Grab a blanket and snuggle up on the patio for an outdoor screening of some of your favourite classic movies from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. We've got you covered with special drink and snack combos available for purchase from the Lobby Bar. Check out the full movie schedule and RSVP on our Facebook page. If you're not digging the movie at The June, you can take the kids to a proper drive-in, where they screen kid-friendly flicks!

 

 

 

TUESDAY

BREAKFAST & BEACH 

 

Swing by the Lobby Bar and fuel up with one of our healthy & quick breakfast options before piling into the car and heading for the beach! Enjoy the lighter weekday crowds and soak up some sun at Sandbanks Provincial Park, just about a 15 minute drive from the motel. Don't forget to explore the dunes!

EXPLORE OUTDOORS

 

Once you’ve all soaked up enough sun, make a little trip to visit the alpacas at SHED Chetwyn Farms. At SHED they design, make and purvey gifts crafted from high-quality alpaca fleece & yarn. Plus the kids can watch alpaca graze in nearby pastures!

DINNER IN WELLINGTON

On your way back to The June stop into Wellington for an early dinner at Midtown Brewery. They have an area to keep the kids entertained (games, books, etc.) and they have a great menu of food, beers and cocktails to keep the adults equally entertained.

 

 

 

8PM

CAMPFIRE, S'MORES AND ROSÉ O'CLOCK AT THE JUNE

 

Set yourselves up on the Lobby Bar patio to watch the sun set over Picton Bay before roasting up some s’mores around the campfire. We’ve also got $5 glasses of rosé from 8:00-9:00pm, so the adults can unwind as well! Lawn and board games available as well.

WEDNESDAY

 

8AM

MORNING FLOW OUTDOOR YOGA

 

Chill out before you check out with a mid-week yoga class to start your day off right. Maybe your kids are old enough to tag along, or perhaps this is precious "mom time", either way you'll enjoy some early morning peace and quiet out on our yoga deck while Megan Marie Gates guides you through a 60 minute yoga class. Classes are $15 and must be pre-registered at info@thejunemotel.com, or add it to your stay when you book your room! 

 

11AM

CHECK-OUT & LUNCH ON THE ROAD

 

Once you've checked out, swing by Parsons Brewing on your way out of town for burgers & beers. The brewery has undergone some exciting renovations and menu changes this year, plus they've got an outdoor playground to keep the kids entertained while you test out a few brews.
